Jeff Rickel Scholarship

Palos Verdes Region 10 is pleased to offer the Jeff Rickel Memorial Scholarship. The Jeff Rickel Memorial Scholarship is a $2,000 non-renewable scholarship awarded to a college-bound high school senior or seniors who reside on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The scholarship is named for Jeff Rickel (1963-2003), who coached his young daughter’s teams for three years in Region 10 before he succumbed to cancer. Jeff was a remarkable individual in many ways, not the least was his contribution to Region 10. In each of the three years he coached in Region 10, his teams were awarded the Sportsmanship Award. He set a fine example for his young charges on and off the field.
